Valve guide plug gauges

This set of two valve guide plug gauges is used to evaluate the condition (go/no-go) of your valve guides.
The green plug gauge has an OD of .3145”. If this gauge will not insert into the guide with little or no force, the hole in the guide is too small. It will need to be cleaned or reamed.
The red plug gauge has an OD of .3165”. If this gauge inserts into the guide, the hole in the guide is too large. The guide will need to be replaced.
