Tartan style standpipe muffler, DIESEL (316 stainless)

This standpipe muffler is virtually identical in function to our standard Atomic 4 version except that it is dimensioned to accommodate the specifications supplied to us from Beta Marine for their 20 HP diesel engines. Overall height of the body of the standpipe is the same at 20″, the outside diameter is 3.5″ (instead of 3”), and there are 1-1/2″ NPT male pipe threads (instead of 1-1/4” as on the standard version) on the inlet pipe extending below the muffler and also on the discharge on the side of the outer jacket near the bottom of the outer chamber.

The larger OD is required by the Beta Marine requirement for increasing the size of the inner pipe. The inlet for engine cooling water is on top of the muffler and retains the same 1/2″ NPT female threads, and the mounting brackets on the top and bottom swivel from side to side to permit mounting on bulkheads on all sides of the standpipe, just as with the standard Atomic 4 version.
