Seat dressing tool for oil pressure regulating valve

In using the tool, the 1/2″ adjusting bolt of the regulating valve is removed, and is replaced by the small 1/2″ threaded brass section of the tool. Once installed, this part of the tool serves as a bushing to accurately center the cutting tool. After inserting the cutting tool, simply press in on the large knurled knob as you turn it clockwise. Within seconds, you will feel the cutting head of the tool smoothing out any imperfections in the orifice of the seat. If the orifice itself was slightly off-center, the tool will cut a slight bevel in the inner diameter of the orifice so that the ball, or sliding rod of the early model valve, will be able to center over the seat.
