High Output Alternator – 100 amps

This alternator is ignition protected in accordance with SAE J1171

This alternator (the same firm who has been supplying our very successful 65 amp alternator) is rated at 100 amps, 70 amps at a nominal engine speed of 1800 RPM. It is internally regulated with a single output terminal, similar to the OEM Motorola and our 65 amp alternator. Like the 65 amp version, the 100 amp alternator is quite forgiving of passing through “OFF” on the battery master switch.

We have retained the 3/8″ belt groove as our standard configuration, which in most cases makes it possible to use the same 26” belt as used on our 65 amp alternator (Product number: IGLM_09_34.1). Please note that the correct O.E.M. alternator support arms measure 9 – 1/8” in a straight line from the center of the lower mounting bolt hole to the very top of the slot. Earlier O.E.M support arms only measure 8 ½” in this dimension and will not have adequate adjustment to properly tension 26” belts. Refer to product number OVEL_03_222 if you need to replace your support arm.
