1/8 inch scavenge tube for late model carburetor
This tube connects to a 90 degree fitting on the bottom of the carburetor intake throat and leads to another 90 degree 1/8” pipe fitting on the intake manifold. Its function is to provide a continuous calibrated suction on the floor of the intake throat in case the float valve fails and fuel puddles on the bottom of the intake throat. In those instances, the fuel will be sucked directly into the intake manifold to be burned.
