History:
This engine was installed new in early 80s. We have cruised extensively on the Bay and ICW, including The Bahamas. Engine has approximately 3,500 hours and has performed flawlessly. It is all original and the head has never been removed. In 2003, the following maintenance was done: the exhaust manifold and riser were replaced, due to rust from leaking salt water hose; the engine was removed to replace the fuel tank and was repainted at that time; the rear thrust bearing and seal were replaced, due to engine misalignment.
Important Maintenance:
Keep engine dry
Use Marvel Mystery Oil
Change oil every 50 hours
Use one-micron fuel filter
Check engine alignment regularly
